Gigs Unlimited
I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Neither the name of the band nor the title of the CD did much more me; but I was caught off-guard.
'To and Fro' forces entry with some blasting power chords. After that, it's hold on for your life and see the ride through. In 'Heaven's Scent', I heard some old school ala Deep Purple (what they used to call boogie: bopping guitar and melodic vocals). Nick may not be Ritchie Blackmore and Graham may not be Jon Lord-but they sure sounds good to me! Greg Kiss, guitar/vocals, claims James Hetfield as one of his influences, and it shows in the power ballad 'Fear of the Unknown'.
